Salvatore Ferragamo debut capsule collection using “Orange Fiber”

Faithful to their motto, “Responsible Passion”, Salvatore Ferragamo is the first brand to use the exclusive Orange Fiber fabric. A twill that looks and feels like silk, the capsule collection is made from a patented Orange Fiber fabric, the first fabric in the world made with citrus fruits. It all started with the idea to create sustainable fabrics for fashion by taking the remains of citrus fruits after squeezing them for juice, which amounts to more than 700,000 tons of by-product in Italy.

This green-fashion project combines fashion and design with a virtuous production cycle, using solely sustainable fabrics of natural origins whilst reflecting those ethical values linked to research on sustainability and renewable sources

The Capsule Collection comprises of 17 RTW pieces including dresses, blouses and trousers, as well as 3 signature scarves; all pieces are enhanced by exclusive prints by the Florentine fashion house.
