Press Days Round-up

Amidst finishing up editorials and feature shoots for issue 5, the fashion team has also been busy the past few weeks stopping by various Press Days around London to see the FW12 collections up close and personal.  Check out our selection of highlights.

Starworks Group held their press days at an amazing home in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, complete with hot breakfast being served. Their selection of footwear caught out eyes including these platforms from Pollini and metallic fur high-tops from Hogan.

Bulgari‘s luxurious selection of clutches and bags were inspired by serpents this season.  This mosaic clutch with snakehead clasp would make an ideal accessory for a cover story.

The selection at Trace Publicity this season was also top-notch.  The burnt orange of Georgia Hardinge’s digital prints especially stood out.

We are always huge fans of the extravagant designs found at the Erickson Beamon showroom on Elizabeth Street near Sloane Square.  The crystal collars are very editorial and we love the modern twist on the cameo necklace.

We’re obsessed with the Dr. Marten’s collaborations we saw at Exposure, specifically these Kente cloth lace-ups by A.Sauvage which would look sharp with a black suit.

Blow Presents showcased a lot of exciting and boundary pushing designers including Zyanya Keizer, who wove white sequins into strands to create the bold silhouette of the top on the left.  On the right is a fantasy inspired creation by MaryMe-JimmyPaul.

Modus Publicity held their press days in a separate location just off Carnaby Street.  These silver hound heels by David Koma  were an obvious choice for favorite accessory.

The menswear press day for Purple PR featured some bold accessories as well.  We particularly enjoyed these calfskin boots by Miharayasuhiro as well as the selection of clear frames from the Kris Van Assche x Linda Farrow collaboration.
