Orla Kiely unviels its AW17 campaign

Orla Kiely unviels its AW17 campaign. Originally from Ireland and now based in London, the designers latest collection is an ode to women from the 1970s.

Shot by Emma Summerton, who has worked with the likes of Vogue USA, Vogue Italia and W, & styled by Leith Clark, the campaign showcases the new collection which is inspired by Upper East New York in the 1970s.

The women in 1970s New York embodied the new modern glamour championed in the pages of Vogue at the time. Diana Vreeland’s Vogue celebrated the beautiful people of the day and took the reader on an escape from the everday reality and showed them effortless dressing and living.

Reimagining this world of Diana Vreeland, the collection offers wearers a similiar escapism with decadent fabrics in easy to wear styles. Gold broacde reinvented with Orla Kiely brids and flowers’ dresses, peplum jackets and trousers in textured richness…
